Wife Got A New Car … I Still Drive A Mini-Van

The wife’s car lease was nearing the end of the contract so we needed to get a new one. We went back to where we got both of our cars. We went to Wickstrom in Barrington. They are awesome. As I have stated before when we got our present cars, they are the best dealership I have ever dealt with. No pressure, kind people and good deals. Jared Nelson was the guy we have worked with for our last 2 purchases. He must be good, he has been there for at least 3 years.

Jared was more than awesome during this transaction as well. He even volunteered to sit with our kids as we were signing paperwork. Not only in the kid’s area at the dealership, but he also sat with them in our van as we returned the old car at the Ford dealership across their parking lot.

I can’t say enough good things about the Wickstroms and their employees. Everything is always easy, no pressure and just extremely pleasant. I highly recommend them. They have Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ford, Lincoln in Barrington. They also have Chevy in Roselle. Go see them. Buy a car. Tell them I sent you. They will look at you like you are crazy but it would boost my ego a little.

By the way … she got a brand new Jeep Cherokee. I still drive a mini-van.

I Beat It

Not what you are thinking you sickos. I finally got up enough strength and determination to get out and tackle that yard I have been avoiding. I didn’t finish it all I admit, but I did get a good start. I knew it was going to take me a couple days. The wind, wet, pollen, and what not started getting to me as I was cutting. Despite the mass quantities of drugs I took before I started, the grass finally got to me. I started wheezing and had to stop.I thought a good mother’s day present to Wife would be to live.

Speaking of Mother’s Day, it was our first! Well, Wife’s first. I let her sleep in the best I could with a crying baby. I got up with Tori and fed and changed her. Fed the dog, etc, etc, etc. We did have to go to Wal-Mart to get some food for the little bug. It was a good excuse for Wife to take her new car out and show it off to the neighbors. I am not sure getting Wife a car for Mother’s Day was a good idea. She got a baby for her birthday, diamonds for xmas, roses on Valentine’s Day and now a car. Not sure how I am going to top these things next year. At least I am getting a new car too. Hopefully I should be able to pick it up tomorrow.
