Size Matters

Posted in Nonsense with tags , , on June 28, 2014 by Bob

When you are losing weight. It does for me anyway … with my pants. I have been steadily losing weight and I am in between sizes right now. My old pants are too big and my new pants are just a hair too tight to wear comfortably. They fit, but not well. Whose idea was it to make sizes go by 2? I know that there are SOME in-between sizes but, they are few and far between. I know I could also suck it up and lose that extra half inch around my waist but it isn’t that easy. I have plateaued. It is frustrating.

I am also frustrated by the fact I need to replace all my Hawaiian shirts. While they fit when I bought them, now they pretty much all look like I got them at an Israel Kamakawiwo’ole estate sale. I have a lot of shirts. It is going to be expensive. I might have to open a kickstarter campaign.

Once again we come to that most somber of times during the month. It is time to recognize those celebrities who have passed before us. Interestingly, this is one of the most popular blog posts I have during the month. It is always the post that gets the most spam as well. Just this last week, I had a number of interesting spam comments related to my death blog. One was telling me that it was the best weight loss post they had read. The other was “celebrate good times”. There are some sick people out there, and I love you all for reading this. Without further delay, let’s pay homage to those who succeeded on the ultimate weight loss plan this past month and celebrate the good times we will have remembering them.
