Time To Celebrate

Posted in Nonsense with tags , , on December 5, 2011 by Bob

I was thinking about writing about how I haven’t decorated for Christmas yet, but another blog that I read, and is much funnier than mine, wrote about sort of the same thing today. So, instead of writing about that, I will say congratulations to Ron Santo on finally getting into the baseball hall of fame. To those who have any issues with Ronny in the HOF, let his family enjoy this.

Congrats Ron and the entire Santo family!

Should Dead Celebs Not Be Forgot

What a year it has been on the celebrity death front. I am very surprised that none of the early predictions came true. We came close on a few but not one celeb death was predicted from the solicitations I received anyway. This is the last post of celebrity deaths for 2010. I know it is now officially 2011, but I had to make sure no celebs over indulged on New Years eve and made it to the 2010 list. As this is the only thing that I consistently posted all year, I am going to go at it again this year. I am not going to include my predictions in this post, mainly so I have something to write about the next day or so. So, while you are reading the last names to shuffle off this mortal coil this year, start thinking about who you want to put on the prediction list for 2011. Make it good, make it out there, think out of, or in the box, so to speak.

Don Meredith – 72 – Former Dallas Cowboy and Announcer – Dec. 5th

Remember to get those predictions ready for the coming year. I will have my predictions up in the next day or 2. Until then remember … “The wool from the black sheep is just as warm”

Cubs retired flag for Ron Santo

RIP Ronnie

Ron Santo died today. For those of you who don’t know who Ron Santo was … he was an athlete, a humanitarian, and the biggest Cub fan in the world. I am not going to say much. I just wanted to get it out there and give my condolences to his family and all the fans and friends of Ronnie. He will be missed and always loved. Good bye Ron and rest in peace.
