Once again the geniuses at VIMB have decided to be totally innovative and do absolutely nothing different from anyone else. In fact, we may even be duplicating things we have done in the past. We are really just too lazy to go back and look. (and we wonder why we won’t get hired by Cracked.com.)

While I was at work watching Christmas Vacation today, I began to think of all of the Christmas specials that have been made. I also thought about the ones that should not have been made in that list. I then thought that perhaps I should be working instead of all this thinking. In any case, I thought it would be fun to go back and do some more tribute to Letterman and some top 10 listage for the holidays. So, from the home office in Shitterton, Dorset, England:

And To All A Good Night

Wow, what an excellent Christmas. It wasn’t Tori’s first Christmas, but it was the first where she sort of had a clue what was going on. She even left her Santa hat on until we got to grandma’s and everyone got to see her cuteness.

Believe it or not, we actually got this picture at home.

Anyhoo, Tori had a great Christmas. We all had a great Christmas and I got a Muppet! That was the biggest surprise. I had no idea! He will be debuting here soon!

Just want to wish everyone a happy and merry Festihanuchristmakwanzadan! Me and the missus are going to relax a little, enjoy the Grizwalds and then settle in for a long winter’s nap.

It’s About Time

We did it. We finally did it! It has taken us weeks of procrastination, trying to find time and juggling Tori’s needs, but we were finally able to put up our Christmas decorations today. Well, we put up limited decorations today. We put up our small tree and a few stockings, some window decorations and a door wreath. We figure this is all we really need for the next couple of years with the little people that will be around. Next year Tori will probably be a little more appreciative but her little brother won’t be still. This way, when we break out the real good stuff later, Tori will really be excited. This is my rationale and I am sticking with it.

Now, all we need to do is finish Christmas shopping. We have a whole week to get that done. PLENTY of time. I’ve always wondered what it would look like if I ended my post like the Sopranos. Is it really as effective in writing as it is on tel

Is It Thanksgiving Yet?

There are a few reason I am looking forward to the thanksgiving weekend getting here and then being over and done with.

1. I want the 4 day weekend

2. I basically work retail. Black Friday is a huge deal and I want it to be here and gone.

3. Cyber Monday is just as big in my industry and I want that to be here and gone as well.

4. The week after Thanksgiving is when I am going to Vegas and BOY do I need it.

5. When I get back from Vegas, it is only 3 weeks until I have the week between Christmas and New Years off.

6. After that, I don’t have to blog every day anymore.

Ok, so number 6 isn’t really as whiny as it sounds. I really do enjoy blogging, I am just in a slump lately I think. It is getting harder and harder to do every night. Ok, enough of that and on to Vegas … in 2 weeks.

I mowed the lawn for the last time today. I also tried to run the mower and sow blower out of gas so I can change oil and lube and all that good stuff to get ready for the season. There are so many things I need to start getting done so that I can get other stuff done in prep for Tori’s little brother. Oh yeah, did I mention we found out we are having a boy? O can’t remember if I did or not … but we are.

We also took Piper to the vet today. SHe has been licking at some sores on her feet and they keep getting bigger and bigger. They are like big cysts. They aspirated them and took some cell samples to send out to be checked. Piper did great. She screamed a little but me helping hold her I think helped. The only bad part of that is that Piper also has a yeasty ear infection and when I was holding her, my nose was buried in her smelly ear. Blech. Anyway, we find out like Wednesday if the cells are just inflamed or if it is something more serious we have to deal with. Hopefully not.

… The Bombs Bursting In Air …

RIGHT IN MY BACKYARD!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I like the 4th of July as much as the next person I like fireworks, if I wasn’t THE person that would get busted for setting them off, I would be. I would be putting on a show that would set off car alarms. However, there is a limit to what I think should be being set off. Yeah yeah, it is the 4th weekend, but guess what … I want to F****** SLEEP at some point this weekend! Set them off earlier. Blow your limbs off during the day when it will actually look cool when it happens.

I also don’t appreciate the way my roof and yard looks the entire weekend. If you are going to try to burn my house down, at least come and clean up the crap you are leaving in my yard. I don’t appreciate having to pick up the spent firework wrappers at 5 a.m. before I can let my dog out in the morning.

I get it, I shouldn’t complain. I AM of the school though that wonders how blowing things up celebrates our freedom. That isn’t my line. I blatantly stole it. Can’t blame me. Yeah, I think I am getting old. HEY YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!

One last reason I want to throw out there as an excuse. Tori is teething in a BIG way right now. It is a holiday weekend so she is not napping with all the family visits and what not. I want her to sleep.

Happy Easter tomorrow/today depending on when you read this. Just wanted to make sure I got on and wished everyone happy Easter. There, I said it twice even. I really like that Kapgar mentioned dead bunnies and posted a great video you can see here.

Pretty much that is all I wanted to say today. Been a very busy couple days with shopping for my niece’s birthday which also happens to be on the same day we are celebrating Easter that I am making a pie and jell-o mold for so … I do have some (hopefully) funny ideas for upcoming posts, AND I will be moving to self hosting very, very soon so (again hopefully) there will be some cool enhancements coming once I move. I will let anyone everyone know before hand in time to change any RSS or subscriptions. (The above paragraph is actually pretty accurate but I am making deviled eggs.)
